Stefan Erasmus is a Cape Town-based creative driven by a singular philosophy:from Bicentennial Man: “One is glad to be of service.” - This dedication to serving the story and his collaborators has defined a decade-long career spanning gritty independent theatre, national television, and global streaming platforms.

A graduate of the University of Cape Town (BA in Theatre and Performance), Stefan’s work is rooted in a deep understanding of storytelling. His range on screen spans from the high-stakes tension of the Netflix feature Silverton Siege to celebrated performances in Old Righteous Blues, Fiela se Kind, Suidooster, and Arendsvlei.

His stage work is equally rigorous; his performance in Orphans at the Baxter Theatre earned him a Fleur du Cap nomination for Best Actor, cementing his reputation as a formidable presence in South African theatre.

Beyond the spotlight, Stefan is a builder of stories. As a director, he has helmed projects like the KykNET film Nagvoel and the web series Van Adamse. Through his production company, NEONYSIA, he fosters collaborative, devised work most notably the theatrical play Undermined.

Whether in front of the lens or behind the scenes, Stefan’s focus remains on authentic and impactful storytelling.
